The director of this film I must admit was putting a message to this film but found it like most draggy and was difficult to understand mostly towards the end. I was sort of dozing off as I think it needed a lift up to get people like myself to make it interesting and understandable for us not to feel discomfort and ease.

The movie wasn't bad... but it wasn't that good... it could have been done much better... it wasn't scary at all... the characters were not very real in the movie... Katie Holmes has done some great movies, but this was not one of them...

Katie Holmes is one of the worst actresses ever but the movie is very interesting and the ending is unexpected. If you're a fan of thrillers, you will like this one.

this movie is one of the best I've ever seen, but then, you have to be the kind of person who can relate to it on a personal level. If you've never known the extent of the damage abandonment can have on you, or experienced any subsequent rejection, you may find this movie boring. Even then, you will still have to say the acting was awesome and it left you wanting more!

Ummm... I didn't understand it... I mean the switching back and forth was confusing and on top of that the ending made no sense... I think it would be a better movie if I understood it... but nevertheless that Charlie Hunnam is sooo HOTT!!

How is the end predictable? I thought the detective was going to kill Embry. I don't understand how the flashback two years earlier of her killing him could of made sense when he physically touched her since that time in which she went to the detective for help. So, all that time she thought Embry was following her... she was just visioning it? Or it had happened BEFORE? One part I am interested in knowing is how they found out the letter for her was written two years earlier... meaning she went to the house two years earlier and everything happened when she didn't know the detective. And she went to him because she was seeing it all in her dreams... and at the end she was seeing Embry there but he wasn't and the detective was realizing she had a mental problem and shouldn't go with him. So, she killed him the same way... while still seeing Embry. Wierd movie. I'm watching it again. I sound like an idiot trying to guess this all.

Ok I saw this TERRIBLE MOVIE. I almost fell asleep during the movie and WISH I DID. It was terrible and Dumb and so Predictable. I would of had more fun bashing my head on the chair infront of me or seeing if I could chew my toe nails. Don't Rent this flik or go to the Theater for it So bad I wish there was a 0 rating.

What the hell was that? The first hour I thought was great, nice story line good acting---then comes the ending? --it just stops? I thought there was at least another 30min or so left. What happened to her ex boyfriend? What a waste of time, a tale of obssesion gone wrong if you ask me!

With a rising star like Katie Holmes I was expecting the movie to be better. The story was interesting but as the movie progressed it was to choppy and did not build any suspense at all. The ending was good with a twist but by then most of the people in the audience were asleep!

Other than the fact Katie Holmes is chic and the movie was shot in our home, Montreal there isn't much else to celebrate about it. The director had interesting ideas to play around with, however he dragged it out in parts and didn't spend enough time on characterization. If you've got an hour and a half doing nothing else, I'd still think you're better off avoiding this movie, unless you study at McGill or lived in room 720 of McConnell Upper Residence. In that case watch the movie and have something to talk about later.

I thought this movie dragged, like most of the people who have written about it. The beginning was intriguing but it seemed like the middle went on and one without there being much point. However, I personally felt like the ending was worth sitting through the boring middle because it was a complete surprise. I left you kinda stunned... like "ooohhh..." This movie kept me thinking for awhile after I watched it.

Quite bad really. There is a "surprise ending", if you can call it that, at the end, but by that point, do we really care what happens? Plus side: great shots of McGill! Definitely won't win any Oscars :)

I watched Abandoned last Saturday, and I can honestly say I would rather of watched Sweet Home Alabama, but unfortunately something was wrong with the movie and they couldn't play it. Katie Holmes is one of my favorites, don't get me wrong, but I felt she could of done a lot better. She has a lot more acting abilities than what she showed. I was somewhat disappointed but hopefully she makes a come back and proves she can do better!!

HaHaHaHa That movie was funny!! Great one-liners... like "you're nice, you're organized but..", Leacock tunnels seen in a new light, on the spot comedy guy... but that's it. It was really horrible, really. All in all, a good laugh and a nice view of Mcgill.

This movie is really good! The ending is least expected and it leave curious and in suspense throughout because you really want to know how everything that happens in it is possible! And it's partly filmed in Montreal... so it makes it that much more special! Lol. This is a good movie and you should see it!

If you like Katie or Charlie, buy a poster and hang it over your bed. If you want a twist, go watch 6th sense or unbreakable for the 3th time. If you never understand movies with a twist, go see this one, perhaps you Will like it. You don't have to break your brain over this one. If you're a tourist, go and see it for the reaction of the other people. Otherwise, read a good book, have beer with some friends or don't take my advise and see it anyway. It's your decision.

The movie was very slow paced and I was not very impressed with the story line. The end was kind of interesting but the rest I found rather dull. If you feel you really must see it, I would wait until it comes out on home video or see it on a cheap night.

There was sufficient tension and suspense to keep me into this movie. I thought the writing and acting was excellent and the music and sound was well done. I liked the fact that the people looked normal complete with skin tones and blemishes an not pancaked over like most American flics. I thought the plot was a little rushed at the end, but did give me a surprise. Enjoyed the scenes of McGill.
