Some day this will be as common as Ferris Bueller's day off for an afternoon movie. Very well done and no matter how many times I watch it I still like it.

DVD: "Hot Fuzz (Full Screen)"
I'm kinda glad I caught this on DVD. I thought the film was hysterical but as I have little stomach for gory violence, I would've been staring at the far left hand corner a good deal - that's how I deal with gore I can't handle ;-) The film was a smart hilarious spoof with enough gory references to keep the fans they won with the "Shaun of the Dead" movie.

I would have to say that this was probably the funniest movie of 2007. It was especially funny when the gun shot that guy in the foot when the policeman dropped it. Seriously, see it right now.

Obviously I am English, and I despise this film. It tries to bring realism and hence parody to the genre of zombie flick, and fails to raise a laugh.

I was laughing so hard I got scared I was going to pee my seat! Unless the couple minutes I was in the restroom really sucked, I can't really think of much to criticize 'Hot Fuzz'. It is a clever and quick and hilarious spoof of the cop movie genre.

So Funny. Every joke is clever, and awesome. And it actually makes a good action flick if you're not too serious about it. It's just really bad ass! :D.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE THIS MOVIE IS CRAP even if u are english. I couldn't imagine how much "better" the jokes are I almost left the first 15 min and then the next 40 minutes was a constant battle of "should w leave or stay? " The whole thing was not at all funny. I don't know how this can even resemble a comedy. It's a bunch of crap in disguise, see something else or you'll regret it you have been warned!!!

Some parts of this movie were somewhat amusing, but more parts I found rather sluggish. I preferred Shaun of the Dead over Hot Fuzz.

Hot Fuzz was a real laugh."Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" meets "Monty Python" and "Fawlty Towers". Notable tagline: "I'll make certain everybody gets their just desserts". Timothy Dalton is a scream as the local supermarket manager. Sgt. Nicolas Angel's disbelieving jaw dropped expression is bound to become iconic. A must see.

I haven't laughed so hard in a while. Some of the jokes may be lost on those who don't watch British crime series, because it parodies those as well as buddy cop films.

Almost gory, They tried to hide the gore by cramming in a bunch of crappy jokes while people were brutally dieing. I wouldn't recommend watching it with children.

I had not even heard of this, not much of an advertising budget, but what a funny movie... It's a bit different than most spoofs in that it takes itself totally seriously and it's actually quite violent. The humor is great and it's well acted. An enjoyable surprise.

Great film. Saw 'Shaun of the Dead' and was pleasantly surprised by that one. This one blew me away. Started slow and then it just kept picking up the pace as it went along and by the end was just a blast. So funny, good action and just really enjoyable. I thought it was exactly what I expected it to be.

After reading some reviews on here, I can see why they keep making crappy movies... Apparently, some people like wasting thier money. This is the worst movie I have seen in 25 years. The last time I walked out of a movie was when I saw Mr. Bill's mondo video. This movie was a very close 2nd. Very few funny moments and call me crazy but some reality is nice. How can 3 cops be shooting at 2 guys behind a butcher counter made of glass and the glass doesnt break... Except of course when they roll a bunch of shopping carts through. What a side splitter... Sheesh... Oh and lets not forget our hero taking on the group at the end... Watching some senior citizen with a machine gun go nuts. Too funny, I cant take anymore... Thank God I had movie passes and it didnt cost me anything to watch this movie. Dont waste your time... Dont even rent the video.

I tried to ignore the bad ratings and thought it would be good, but no, it's terrible. Shawn of the Dead was funny, but this movie just recycles stupid jokes and even then uses them sparingly. Seriously, 20 minutes would go by without a serious attempt at something even approaching funny. To top it all off, the end is just so ridiculously humdrum and lame that it makes the first half seem good. Disappointment!

Great movie:) The first half of the movie is just funny and kinda boring if you expect a lot of action. ALL the action you see in the trailer is near the end of the movie. Very good movie though nonetheless and I'd definitely go see it again in theatre if anyone asked me to go with them:) lol.

Funny and smart. This film is a take-off on American cop movies without the slap-stick attitude of some American take-offs. The story and characters build and develop appropriately as we travel along with Nicholas Angel being forcibly reassigned, then forced to deal with the major lifestyle change of life in a "quiet, English village".

First of all, I'm just going to put out there that I'm a huge Shaun of the Dead fan and I was definitely looking forward to Hot Fuzz. I kind of wish I could rate this as a 7.5 but I'm going to be generous because it is a good movie. It's a very clever spoof of action movies, CSI and suburbia alike, with many of the jokes surrounding the isolated little town that Nickolas finds himself in. Simon Pegg proves that he is a versatile actor by playing a complex character (or as complex as a spoof movie character can be) A few jokes fall a little flat, and I wouldn't recommend it for those who don't understand British humour. Overall, good movie that all Shaun of the Dead fans should see. Thumbs up.

The whole movie was a let down. The sound effects for opening the doors and other stupid parts gave me such a freaking headache that I watched 75% of the movie with my ears plugged. And then when it was almost to the end it just didn't seem to end so we walked out. Your couldn't pay me to watch it again. If you do want to see it rent it, that way you can mute it!

A good effort by the lads who made Shaun of the Dead. Not as good as 'Shaun', a little longer than it probably should've been but very funny in some parts. Watch for a cameo by Peter jackson!

This movie was a terrible disappointment. It appeared to change course midstream, and the noisy guns and exploding destroyed a good, almost Sherlock Holmes plot. Good to see T. Dalton. Although his talent was wasted. We wanted to leave about 30 minutes before the end and ask for a refund! Frankly, we were embarrassed at how we were taken advantage of... Jeff.
