The series circles around Adam Burns. When his wife Andi returns to work, Adam becomes a stay at home dad, and he quickly learns that the world of parenting is not as easy as he once thought it was. Adam goes from focusing on his job as a contractor to taking care of three kids, Kate, Teddy and Emme. Adam also has a brother, Don, who is also his business partner in contracting. He often helps cover for Adam at work while Adam is taking care of the kids.
