Longtime partners Parker (Ryan Phillippe) and Longbaugh (Benicio Del Toro) are hoping for a quick and non-violent pay-off when they abduct Robin (Juliette Lewis), a young woman carrying the child of a wealthy Southwestern couple. But when Robin's imminent delivery date awakens strong feelings in Parker, tensions rise between him and Longbaugh, who is a ruthlessly decisive man.
