The saga of RAGTIME makes for one hell of a movie. Its from the novel of the same name by E. Doctrow (sp) and tells several true stories in early 20th century America including some notoriously famous incidents. I loved it. It's memorable for bringing James Cagney back to the movies after an absence of almost 20 years, his very last role. And don't forget, it inspired the great TONY AWARD Musical that had its origins right here in Toronto at the then North York Centre for the Performing Arts. Not to be missed! It's entertaining and a great history lesson as well.
